Rock crystal

In the quartz family, rock crystal is the only one to be transparent, while amethyst is purple, citrine yellow and rose quartz, pink! Unlike crystal manufactured since the 19th century, the stone is called “rock” to show that it is natural. A very ancient stone, known and used since Antiquity, rock crystal was considered solid ice by the Greeks.

Its etymology explains this association, because “Krustallos” means “ice” in Greek. It is found today in new technologies (computer and electronics), mobile phones, GPS... Rock crystal is found all over the world, but especially in Brazil and the United States. It forms six-sided crystals and its transparency, or its absence of color, is on a symbolic level the alliance of all colors.

It is the stone of origin, the source with which man must connect in many traditions and rituals around the world, from ancient Egypt to the Middle Ages. We still find it today, in science fiction stories, or imaginary worlds, of civilizations (like that of Atlantis) which would have been much more advanced, thanks to the particular use of a crystal of rock. Among the Mayans, this stone allowed one to “see” the future. For the Hebrews, it represented the purity and virtue associated with Christ.

It is the stone par excellence that everyone should have because of the extent of its properties. Known to be cold, it was used to cool off in Antiquity, but also to reduce fevers until the 17th century. Rock crystal is recommended for states of weakness, whatever they may be: fatigue, old age, weariness, nervous breakdown...

The solidity, purity and inalterability of rock crystal give it numerous properties, notably optically, electrically and even thermally insulating! Silicon is present at the heart of the human cell, not surprisingly, while rock crystal is the basis of the entire balance of the body, at all levels.
